Filter by time and page through results

Bound a request and read multiple pages without confusing page size with coverage.

Start from a known request

Use the first request and add a fixed interval. Timestamps need an explicit timezone. This example uses UTC and a fixed illustrative interval; it does not claim current activity.

Choose interval boundaries

GET /geodynamics/quakes?source_system=seiscomp&event_type=earthquake&start_date=2026-01-01T00:00:00Z&end_date=2026-01-02T00:00:00Z&limit=10&offset=0&sort=event_time:desc

Choose start and end values appropriate to your task. Check exact boundary semantics in the reference before composing adjacent analytical intervals.

Retrieve the next page

Keep filters and sorting unchanged and move offset from 0 to 10 for the next page at this page size. total describes matching records, while the length of data tells you how many records this page returned. Stop when the response indicates there are no more records.

Account for changes

Records can be updated or added between requests. Offset pagination is not a promise of an immutable dataset snapshot. Use record identifiers when combining pages and choose an interval and refresh strategy appropriate to your use.

Next step

Understand sources, times and units before presenting or analysing the data. The API reference defines supported filters and formats.
